Jan Trinekens is a highly respected coach and instructor with the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) for over 26. He has worked as coach and instructor with various regional and national teams in the Netherlands including the U18 female national team, U14 and U15 male national teams. Jan has also coached many famous Dutch players and is a top scout for young talents. He has conducted football development programmes within and outside the Netherlands.

Jan was part of the 2014 Greensprings/Kanu Football Camp.

Rob Ernst is a football coach, instructor and talent scout with the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB). He was a former professional player in the Dutch Eredivisie team, NEC Nijmegen. He has been a coach and instructor with the KNVB since 2004 where he organizes and participates in various youth football development programmes both within and outside the Netherlands.

Rob was one of the foreign coaches invited to train the talents discovered nationwide during the 2015 edition of the Airtel Talent Programme in Nigeria.

Jerino Lekatompessij is a youth trainer/coach with the Dutch professional team- VVV Venlo. He has coached various age grade teams within the club and between 2012 and 2013 held the position of the Technical Director of ‘‘de voetbalschool’’(The Football School) in Venlo.

Jerino oversees grassroots football/social development programme of the club and is also a trainer with the Johan Cruijff Foundation Community Service Programme. Recently, Jerino also doubles as the Head Coach of Sport Club Irene, a top amateur team.  Jerino has been contracted to be the technical trainer of Simon Tahamata Soccer Academy at Ajax Amsterdam. He holds a UEFA B Coaching Certificate.

Jerino has participated in various football camps within and outside the Netherlands including training programmes in Benin City and the 2015 Airtel Talent Programme in Nigeria. Jerino has been a regular coach in Greensprings/Kanu Football Camps since 2013.

Proceedings at 5th Edition of Greensprings Kanu Football CampSylvester Okonkwo is a Nigerian-Dutch and the Chief Executive of Whiz-kid Ventures, a sports promotion and development company based in the Netherlands. Mr. Okonkwo and his company have been engaged in various sports development programmes including conducting clinics for grassroots coaches and children in Nigeria in conjunction with coaches from professional and amateur teams in the Netherlands. Mr. Okonkwo has previously worked as a volunteer-trainer for Vitesse’08, Gennep, an amateur club in the Netherlands. He is a Barrister-at-Law and holds a Diploma in Sports Administration from the Johan Cruijff’s Sports Institute.

Mr. Okonkwo is also the Chairman and co-owner of Soccer Friends Academy, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Ashley Hodgkins has been a coach for West Bromwich Albion FC for 6 years. He has coached many different ability groups and ages, ranging from 3 – 18 year-olds.

Ashley has participated in coaching sessions in Kenya, USA, UK and Nigeria. He has attended 2 previous Greensprings/Kanu Football Camps and this is his third year running.

Ashley has managed many events in the UK such as tournaments and English football camps and has worked with many coaches to improve their coaching abilities and knowledge.

Lauren Affron has coached at West Bromwich Albion FC for 2 years. She previously worked with other Premier League Clubs after studying at university in the United Kingdom. She currently coaches football at secondary schools to girls aged 11-19 years. Alongside this, she has experience running regional football events for girls and soccer camps for both boys and girls during holidays.

Nigeria is the first international trip for her as a member of a coaching crew and she is privileged to have that exposure through the 5th edition of Greensprings/Kanu Football Camp.

– Resumption of boarding participants 12noon – 6.00pm

– Train-the-trainers with Lagos State Football Association coaches at Teslim Balogun Stadium, 10.00am – 1.00pm

– Foreign coaches returned to school

Monday 4 April, 2016

– Resumption of day participants

– Training commenced

– Player evaluation/team formation, fitness, light runs

– Footwork, moves to beat an opponent, 4v4 games
